Acupuncture is an effective treatment technique used by Ignite Health’s Dr. Jane Weber to treat many conditions.
Acupuncture can be an effective way to help with performance, healing and pain reduction either as a standalone intervention or in combination with other treatments. It is a technique where fine solid needles are inserted into anatomically defined areas to stimulate receptors in your skin and muscles to aid in the healing process and help with inflammation. Although the mechanism is not entirely understood, the needles can create a disruption in abnormal nervous system activity which may be inhibiting the healing process. The goal is to promote proper regulation of healing by your own body.
Medical Acupuncture is used in the Ignite Health clinic alongside chiropractic and massage therapy, to treat painful disorders including back pain, neck pain, and headaches. Research studies indicate that acupuncture is most successful when used in combination with other therapies.
